About J Thomas Photography

Hi. I'm Joel. I'm a Leo, born at the tail end of the 70's, and I'm a white personality. I love making sure people around me are comfortable and having a good time. I love laughing and making people smile, it's the only way to live! Weddings are a fun time to hang out with everyone, and even though it may get stressful at times I'll always be sure to do my best to make the mood light and happy.

Along with Photography my hobbies are website design, stunt-kite flying, traveling, SCUBA Diving, Golfing, Toyota Landcruisers, anything Apple, Indian Food and Charlie Chows. My favorite movies are from Pixar, Back to the Future and the always-good Band of Brothers.

Mad Skills

In early 2009 I completed all 3 courses of Photographing People taught by International Master Photographer Kenneth Linge at his International School of Photography in Orem, Utah. In November 2009 I completed INTSOP's Wedding School, also taught by Kenneth Linge.

The Goods

For those of you interested, I shoot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II Camera and an assortment of Canon L glass, sometimes owned and sometimes rented. I strive to always use the best equipment for the job. For a backup body I keep my old faithful Canon EOS 20D with me.
